Mark Cochrane is the UFI Regional Manager, Asia Pacific. He is also the Managing Director of Business Strategies Group(BSG), a business intelligence and strategy consulting firm focused on the B2B media industry in Asia - with a particular emphasis on exhibitions and events in Asia. Through its consulting practice and its relationship with UFI, BSG works with major exhibition organizers, venues and governments across Asia.
He has been based in Hong Kong for 18 years and joined BSG in 2006. Prior to BSG, Mark worked in a variety of roles primarily focused on B2B media and market research including three years at Global Sources in marketing roles and three years at The Gartner Group as a senior research analyst. Mark earned an MBA from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management, in 1997.
He is on the board of the Business Information Industry Association and presents regularly on the exhibition industry at various conferences and events in Asia.

David DuBois is the President and CEO of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events™ (IAEE). As IAEE’s president, DuBois is responsible for the management of 23 full-time professional staff, producing the annual business operating plan and budget, overseeing the support of all meetings of governance units, leading business development, directing fund raising efforts, advocating for the industry and the organization’s members, providing organizational leadership and strategic counsel to the board. Also, he serves as the association’s representative with industry coalitions, partner organizations and strategic alliances.
He began his career with Sheraton Corporation in various sales positions including Regional Director of Sales and the Director of Marketing Programs. He has served as both President and CEO, and Senior Vice President at the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) where he was responsible for all operations and a $7 million budget. As Senior Vice President, he managed the development of 15 new chapters and was responsible for magazine advertising sales and membership recruitment and retention.
He has also served as both the Chief Operating Officer at Meeting Professionals International (MPI) from 1996-2000. During this time, he supported programs and services for more than 16,000 members worldwide, and served as the Executive Vice President of the MPI Foundation. He has also served as MPI’s Vice President of Sales and Key Account Management and Vice President of Corporate Services.
Most recently, He has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Fort Worth Convention and Visitors Bureau where he had oversight and full responsibility of 42 staff, with the responsibility of attracting convention and tourism business with a $8.5 million budget.
He has served as a board member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE); Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Texas Society of Association Executives; board member and Chairman of the Dallas-Fort Worth Tourism Council; board member of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce; and Past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Convention Industry Council (CIC). He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Destinations International, the Meetings Mean Business Coalition and the U.S. Travel Association.

Gerd studied Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He wrote his PhD about success factors in the airline industry. Since 1991 he has worked for McKinsey&Co., starting as an associate and thereafter as senior project manager. Focus of his client work were sales and service projects in the assembly, telecommunication and chemical industries.
In 2000. he joined Koelnmesse as Executive Vice President, where he was responsible for managing the venue in Cologne, the fourth largest venue globally. He developed a new master plan for the facility and implemented the plan in a period of 4 years. The master plan comprises of new exhibition halls with 80.000 sqm exhibitions space, new entrances, a new congress center and the refurbishment of 200.000 sqm in existing halls. After finishing the master plan in 2007, Gerd took over responsibilities for new market projects of Koelnmesse.
Since 2010 he Gerd works as consultant for trade fair companies and real estate projects. His recent assignments in the trade fair industry include: Strategy development, market entry strategy, master plan development, service optimization and organizational development.
He is leading the Venue Planning group of jwc. He is project lead of the latest jwc master planning development, Shenzhen World, the largest venue globally.

Margaret is CEO of Asia for Informa’s Global Exhibitions Division. She joined the group in 2008, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in trade exhibitions, B2B media and ecommerce development to her role with the company. She currently oversees the businesses in Mainland China, Japan, India, Korea and Taiwan, as well as the combination of Informa exhibitions in Asia. In the past 10 years, she has spearheaded the development in key market sectors and successfully grown the business in China via organic development and partnerships.
Prior to joining the group, she held senior management positions at TNT and Global Sources and she is the co-founder of the leading online expat community ShanghaiExpat.com. Margret received MBA degree from Oxford Brooks Business School. She is also a member of Common Purpose Dao Xiang advisory board.

Chang-yuel Lim has served as CEO of KINTEX since 2014. Prior to being appointed as the head of Korea’s largest exhibition and convention center, he has worked in both the private and public sector in such esteemed roles as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Vice Minister of Science, ICP, and Planning, Director of the Public Procurement Service, and Governor of Gyeonggi Province. He also served as Korea’s delegate to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 1986 and to the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) in 1989.
While Governor of Gyeonggi Province, Chang-yuel Lim succeeded in attracting KINTEX to Goyang City. After taking the helm of KINTEX in 2014, he led the organization to its first ever budget surplus. Additional achievements at KINTEX include the successful hosting of large international expos such as the Rotary International Convention and Hair World. The number of exhibitions organized by KINTEX has also increased by two times during his term, while shows of an international scale including Seoul Food and the Seoul Motor Show are currently co-organized by KINTEX.
At present, He is focused on further developing KINTEX into a global exhibition center through the construction of KINTEX Hall 3 as well as the management of the 300,000-square meter India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC) in Delhi, India.

Sonia Prashar is the Chairperson of the Board & Managing Director of NürnbergMesse India. She is also the Deputy Director of the India-Germany Chamber of Commerce. She has dedicated herself to trade fairs and event management over 22 years.
She joined the India-Germany Chamber of Commerce in 1996 and conducted various marketing activities, including market research and promotion by actively utilizing trade shows in India and Germany. She was mainly responsible for consistently networking with associations of various industries. Moreover, She enthusiastically developed useful information for the industry with those associations. She joined NürenbergMesse in 2013 and has been in charge of establishing Indian corporate. She also has been participating in holding variety of exhibitions through acquisitions, partnerships, and establishing new companies.
She is also an executive Member and the Chairperson of Women’s Leadership Forum at the Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA), Independent Board Director of INSILCO (Group company of Evonik), Member of the Management Board of ExpoNova Exhibitions.

Mr. Drew Lee, CEO and President of Coex has been in advertising and exhibition industry for 32 years. As an expert in international business, he has been pushing forward the development of overseas business of Coex since he joined as President and CEO in 2018.
Before joining Coex, Mr. Lee was the international marketing head of HS Ad, the leading PR company in Korea, for 32 years. With his experience as head of global business division and New York Branch, he had experienced in managing major consumer electric exhibitions including CES, IFA, and more.
With his background experience in HS Ad, Drew Lee has shown his strong leadership in global exhibition business of Coex, launching 2 new exhibitions in Vietnam and Indonesia during his first year at office.

Peter Bergleiter has been working in the exhibition industry for the past 20 years. After first career steps in the hotel business with an American hotel chain he studied Business Economics in Hamburg, Germany.
Following some exiting experiences in the event business, he became infected with the exhibition virus that did not let him go.
Peter served in several leading positions for Hamburg Messe (Germany), being responsible for new business and international leading shows in Germany as well as abroad. He was especially involved in B2B- exhibitions on renewable energies, tool machines and maritime industries. This was when he visited Korea for the first time – at Kormarine in Pusan.
In 2014 he moved to Munich, Germany, to become Managing Director of IMAG GmbH, the subsidiary of one of the world’s top ten trade fair organizers, Messe Muenchen. IMAGs global portfolio includes around 30 trade fairs in 15 countries annually. Since the foundation of the company in 1946, they have already participated in over 5,000 international exhibitions – as an organizer, cooperation partner or pavillion organizer for country pavillions.
He is passionate about exhibitions as meeting and business platforms for people, international collaborations and thrives in an intercultural environment.

Professor of demography at Seoul National University (Korea)
YOUNGTAE CHO is Professor of demography at Seoul National University(SNU), Korea. He has been Population Policy Advisor for General Office for Population, Socialist Republic of Vietnam since 2015. He received his doctoral degree specialized in demography from the University of Texas-Austin in 2002. Before he joined SNU, he was assistant professor of sociology at Utah State University during 2002-2004.
His main research areas are population policy for regions in Korea, population dynamics and social/economic development in Vietnam, and the future society determined mainly by today’s demographic changes. Currently, his students and he collaborate with evolution theorists to disentangle the complicated phenomenon of giving up of reproduction among the young generation in Korea. He wrote a book, entitled ‘The Determined Future’, in 2016. Through this book, he tried to disseminate the utility of demographic tools, materials, and theories to general public.
