Mr. Mark Cochrane
Regional Manager of UFI Asia/Pacific Office (Hongkong, China)

Mark Cochrane is the UFI Regional Manager, Asia Pacific. He is also the Managing Director of Business Strategies Group(BSG), a business intelligence and strategy consulting firm focused on the B2B media industry in Asia - with a particular emphasis on exhibitions and events in Asia. Through its consulting practice and its relationship with UFI, BSG works with major exhibition organizers, venues and governments across Asia.

Mark has been based in Hong Kong for 18 years and joined BSG in 2006. Prior to BSG, Mark worked in a variety of roles primarily focused on B2B media and market research including three years at Global Sources in marketing roles and three years at The Gartner Group as a senior research analyst. Mark earned an MBA from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management, 1n 1997.

Mark is on the board of the Business Information Industry Association and presents regularly on the exhibition industry at various conferences and events in Asia.)

Mr. Brian D. Casey
President & CEO of CEIR (USA)

Brian Casey is President & CEO for The Center for Exhibition Industry Research and has more than 36 years of experience in the trade show and meetings industry.

Prior to joining CEIR he served as Vice President & General Manager of Cleveland¡¯s new Convention Center and Global Center for Health Innovations, President and CEO of the High Point Furniture Market, Owner of his own exhibition management company, Executive Vice President at Smith Bucklin (the worlds largest association management firm) and Managing Director of Trade Shows for the International Housewares Exposition.

Casey has served on boards of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Major American Trade Show Organizers, International Association of Exhibitions and Events among other industry associations.

Dr. Gilyoung Song
Senior Executive Vice President of Daumsoft, Inc (KOREA)

Dr. Gilyoung, Song proudly calls himself a ¡®Mind Miner¡¯. He has been rigorously working on reading and interpreting the thoughts of people buried in social big data, a huge repository of stories and memories of people¡¯s everyday lives. Thriving on the insights accumulated from his work, Gilyoung is contributing on improving various aspects of activities in both public and commercial sectors.

Gilyoung currently works as a senior executive vice president of Daumsoft, Inc. In the past, he served as chief strategy officer and, together with his colleagues, pioneered the technologies and business opportunities for gathering and analyzing billions of social media posts to read the minds of people that the posts convey. Daumsoft now plays a unique role in Korea specializing in natural language processing, text mining, and social big data mining.

Gilyoung received his Ph.D in computer science from Korea University, and serves as an executive board member of the Korea Business Intelligence Data Mining Society. Gilyoung co-established and leads the Opinion Mining Working Group, a non-profit professional organization for data mining industry in Korea.

Gilyoung is a fanatic reader who reads all kinds of materials in diverse subjects and styles. He also enjoys talking to people with different backgrounds and ideas. He authored "We See Your Desire: a Map of 7-biliion Desires Found in Big Data (2012, Sam & Parkers, translated in Chinese)¡± and ¡°Don¡¯t Imagine : a Method of reading untold desires(2015, Bookstone)¡±.

Ms. Josephine Lee
Executive Vice President of Reed Exhibitions Greater China (Shenzhen, China)

Josephine Lee, Executive Vice President of Reed Exhibitions Greater China, was born in Hong Kong and has been working in the exhibition industry for 20 years.

Her current role includes managing events under the Lifestyle portfolio as well as corporate functions including E-business, international Promotion Program (IPP), Reed Exhibitions Greater China Visitor Relationship Center and Sales & Marketing Effectiveness Program.

Mr. David Francis
Head of Sales APAC of Zappar, Founder and CEO of VIRTUAL (Australia)

David Francis is a pioneer of the Augmented and Virtual Reality industry. Originally working with DAQRI in LA in 2010, he has conceived and produced scores of complex commercial, award-winning augmented and virtual reality campaigns with leading Australian and international brands, including Toys R Us, Netapp, Cisco, Target, Singtel Optus, 20th Century Fox, Woolworths and Toyota. In 2013, he created the first dedicated Augmented Reality division within one of Australia¡¯s largest print and display groups, Ive Group.

Formed in 2016, David is now the founder of Virtual Method, an AR/VR Consultancy that works with enterprise and brands to create strategies around Wearables Head-Mounted-Displays. In addition, he represents Zappar Technologies in Asia-Pacific, the world¡¯s leading provider of SAAS for AR/VR production as well as Creative-as-a-service for some of the world¡¯s biggest entertainment brands.

He is a regular speaker at the Augmented World Expo in Silicon Valley and sits on the board of several wearable and AR/VR startups)

Mr. Bjoern Kempe
CEO of Expos Asia Pte Ltd (Singapore)

Bjoern Kempe (PhD/MBA) has more than 16 years professional experience in organizing international trade shows and conferences. He has graduated from Fudan University/Central State University of New York and published his thesis about international negotiation. In his major subject¡¯s international marketing & human resources management as well as through his long work in the exhibition industry he can be called an expert in this field in Asia. Mr Kempe has published 3 books that are available online.

He was working for 5 years Cologne Trade Fair in Hong Kong upon moving forward to Munich Trade Fair International in Germany and was promoted to be the Director for International Sales & Marketing at UBM Sinoexpo in Shanghai in 2008.

Since 2010 he is the General Manager of Comexposium in Shanghai and leads a team of marketing & trade show experts to expand Comexposium¡¯s business in Asia. Comexposium Group is the largest exhibition organizer in France and attracts more than 2 million visitors and more than 20,000 exhibitors every year. Mr Kempe also overlooks the largest international Food & Beverage exhibition in China - SIAL CHINA which will be held in Shanghai.
